Content Creation

During our Project 2 we had a workshop based on content creation in which further develops our installation concept with a focus on the content instead of the tech used. Working within our groups we went through different process in which helped us define the concept and content and prototyping it to an extent.

We followed the website and the agende given us to better guide us as it can be rather hard to understand the concept without content. The agenda consisted of concept, content generation and ToV, and prototyping. We would follow this agenda to later present to another group to gain pros and cons.

We made a simple Q&A style answer sheet to better organize our notes and thoughts. We also kept out target group in mind at all times as this was a concept to cater them especially.

When presenting our ideas to the other group we received generally positive feedback. However one thing they asked that provoked the whole concept was out ToV. We did not have a distinct ToV as our aim was to create interest within the user. That there must be room for personal discussion, curiosity, and interpretation.

Though the workshop was brief, it was extremely useful in terms of understanding our installations concept and content. It allows us to better visualise our product but to also talk about the things that didn’t work. Having this workshop straight after our midway pitch also allowed us to brainstorm ideas with fresh knowledge in our brain before it got tired. I feel that this was a important step in creating the whole foundation for our installation project.
